Mandy Clayton

A fabulous evening was had on Wednesday as Amanda Clayton came to talk. Originally a local lass she now lives and teaches in Stafford at the University. By the time she had finished I think most of us wanted to sign up on the Foundation Course she teaches on.
Rarely have I met a more infectious person. She took us through some of her life history with reference to her collections of ephemera and their influences on her art.
She was so generous in letting us handle and examine her pieces - it was wonderful.
Below are a few examples of her work.

Please come and join us - we have lots of inspirational visitors!

Baubles, Bangles and Beads

Last night we entered into the festive (and sometimes, frankly, silly) spirit of Christmas turning scraps into baubles.
This was Ronnie's overflowing bag of ribbons!
But she tamed them!
A touch of Voodoo here and there...
...and hey presto!
We all have a bauble to finish and ideas of how we could make further custom decorations.

Please see the Calendar page for upcoming events and join us - everyone is welcome!
