About Us

Medallion quilt by Gill

Wombourne Quilters is a very friendly and welcoming group of quilt-making enthusiasts.
We cater for beginners to very advanced; the group includes traditional hand quilters, machine patchworkers, art and contemporary quiltmakers and textile artists.

In need of inspiration? Not sure how to get started with quilt-making?  Want a helping hand?
Come along and you will find enthusiastic support and encouragement at our meetings.

We organise talks by well known speakers on many textile topics, encourage participation in group projects, organise mini-workshops and Sit and Sew sessions at our Wednesday meeting and we enjoy exhibiting our work in local quilt shows.

Occasionally day workshops are arranged with visiting tutors or as an opportunity to enjoy a day together working on our own projects.

We meet at 7.30pm at The Hand In Hand Community Centre, Church Rd, in Wombourne, Staffordshire, WV5 9EZ (next to the Parish Church) on the first and third Wednesday of most months.
